How safe is Austria for children?

Sad facts: there are at least 170.000 childhood injuries a year in Austria resulting in approx. 50 deaths. Most of the non-fatal injuries occur in the homes and in leisure time, followed by sports' and school injuries. Fatal injuries mostly occur in the home, in leisure time and in traffic. As one can see, there is still a lot to be done in Austria !
